FREE CLASSES FOR DANCERS AGES 9 to 16
SATURDAY, JULY 27,
10:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Location: Oklahoma Contemporary
The Community Dance Day free classes will cover various dance styles, including Ballet, Modern, and African Dance, and they're all offered every year at the festival. However, spots are limited.
The event will take place on Saturday, July 27th, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
In addition to the dance classes, there will be a gaga people session for the dance adult community, led by Maree ReMalia, starting at 10:30 am.
To ensure a comfortable experience, all dancers should bring a water bottle, a light snack, lunch, dance clothes (if they have them), or comfortable clothing that they can move in. It's also recommended to bring long sleeves and long pants as layers since the studios can be cold.
Here's the schedule for Community Dance Day:
- 10:00 - 10:30 am: Check-in
- 10:30 - 11:30 am: Ballet Class - Ages 9-16
- 10:30 - 11:45 am: Gaga people with Maree ReMalia Ages 16 and up (Blackbox Studio)
- 11:30 - 11:45 am: SNACK BREAK
- 11:45 - 12:45 pm: Modern - Ages 9-16
- 12:45 - 1:30 pm: LUNCH BREAK
- 1:30 - 2:30 pm: West African Dance - All Ages
- 2:30 - 2:45 pm: SNACK BREAK
- 2:45 - 3:45 pm: Drum Circle - All Ages
