THYRSA DA ROSA
Executive Director
Thyrsa Da Rosa is a Paraguayan-American dance artist, educator, and cultural leader. She holds a degree in Classical Ballet Pedagogy from the National Institute of Fine Arts in Asunción and a Bachelor's in Arts Education with an emphasis in Dance. Her studies continued at the University of Oklahoma, where she focused on Graham and Limón modern dance techniques.

She is the Founder and Executive Director of the Oklahoma International Dance Festival (OIDF), a two-week summer program rooted in rigorous training, international collaboration, and artistic exchange. Under her direction, OIDF has grown into a vibrant platform for dancers, choreographers, and educators from around the world.

As a founding member of Hartel Dance Group, Thyrsa has performed across the United States, Paraguay, and Spain. Her career includes work with Momentum Dance Company in Guatemala and guest teaching across the Americas and Europe. She has served as a juror at prestigious competitions in both Brazil and Paraguay, including the Seminario Internacional de Dança de Brasília, where she has also taught and coached since 2014.
She is also the owner of Mynerva’s Dance, a boutique in Asunción specializing in pointe shoe fittings and professional dancewear.
Thyrsa holds certifications in American Ballet Theatre® National Training Curriculum (Primary–Level 5), 4Pointe® (Initial & Level 1), and Pilates, and is deeply committed to building communities through dance, mentorship, and access to quality education.
