OIDF Spring Workshop | March 14–15, 2026

The OIDF Spring Workshop offers two days of focused studio work for dancers seeking to reconnect with their training and engage deeply with the process.

Created as an intentional moment within the training year, this workshop provides space for clarity, growth, and meaningful connection in a supportive studio environment.

Presented in partnership with Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center, the Spring Workshop brings OIDF training into a professional arts space that supports thoughtful, process-driven work.

This spring, we are excited to welcome Micah Bullard and Karen Boyd Bethel as faculty.

Micah Bullard, an OIDF alumnus, returns to the studio as an artist and educator, bringing a thoughtful, grounded approach to the work shaped by his continued growth as an artist with Dance Theatre of Harlem. His return reflects the relationships, mentorship, and continuity that are central to OIDF.

Karen Boyd Bethel brings an extensive career as both a performer and educator. A former Radio City Rockette, Karen offers Broadway jazz and repertory-based training rooted in musicality, performance quality, and professional standards.

Classes will center on ballet and contemporary foundations, alongside Broadway jazz and repertory, emphasizing clarity, alignment, musicality, presence, and performance.

The Spring Workshop reflects the same values that guide all OIDF programming: focused instruction, meaningful process, and a studio culture rooted in respect and care.

Who the Spring Workshop Is For

The Spring Workshop is designed for serious high school dancers (ages 15+), college students, and pre-professional dancers who are ready to engage fully in the studio. This experience is best suited for dancers seeking focused training, thoughtful guidance, and an environment that values process as much as progress.

We look forward to welcoming dancers into the studio this spring.

Placement Information

To help ensure a supportive and productive class experience, students aged 14 and up are asked to submit a brief video for placement, unless they have previously attended an OIDF intensive as a full-time student. In that case, no video is required.
